This cone crusher repair shows the kind of precision heavy equipment work that combines machining, welding, experience, and timing. After the shaft slipped in the cone, our team rebuilt the worn shaft surface with weld, machined it back to the correct final dimension, and prepared the cone for reassembly. The final interference fit was completed using liquid nitrogen at -196°C to shrink the shaft before installation. Once the temperatures equalized, the fit locked together, allowing the repaired assembly to be returned to the customer and put back to work.
